JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, has an immediate opening for a Junior Materiovigilance Associate. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to public health through the Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI).
This position is on a purely temporary, contract basis for 12 months at the Medical Device Adverse Event Monitoring Centre (MDMC) located at JSS Hospital, Mysuru.
Junior Materiovigilance Associate: Key Details & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will report to Dr. M. Ramesh, Coordinator – MDMC (MvPI). This role is integral to the National Coordination Centre (NCC), Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad’s Materiovigilance Programme.
Position Overview:
- Name of the Post: Junior Materiovigilance Associate
- Number of Positions: 01 post
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Project Location: JSS Hospital, Mysuru
- Maximum Age to Apply: 28 years
- Remuneration: Rs. 32,000/- per month
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduation in Biomedical Engineering or Clinical Engineering, OR
- Master’s in Pharmacy.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
- Pharm.D/ MBBS/ BDS from a recognized University/ Institute
- One year of experience in Medical Device Industry, Post Market Surveillance, Medical Devices, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, or Quality Management System.
- Good knowledge of Computers and Communication Skills.
Core Job Profile:
The primary responsibilities include:
- Management of adverse events related to medical devices (collection, collation & analysis).
- Quality review, Clinical Review & Statistical review of ICSRs in the Drug Safety database.
- Any other work assigned by the Competent Authority from time to time.
Important Note on Engagement:
The offer letter and appointment order will be issued by IPC through an IPC authorized outsourcing agency. The salary will be provided by NCC-MvPI, IPC, also through the outsourcing manpower agency. The competent authority (IPC) holds the right to reject, accept, extend, or cancel the post(s) without providing a reason. The contract tenure is normally one year, but services may be terminated earlier if work or conduct is unsatisfactory.
